Installation Instructions

It's easy and fast. This can be done by one person in about ten to fifteen minutes. All you'll need in addition to the parts and tool provided is a small level, phillips screw driver and pencil (optional, drill and 1/16 drill bit). Anchors are self tapping no drill needed.

Select a convenient location Use non-carpeted area away from foot traffic (carpet depresses under weight causing inaccurate measurement). Installation on a door or behind a door is not recommended.

Mounting: Place the combination calibration/mounting device on floor against wall. with pencil in hand rest the scale on the mounting ledge. Use a level to make sure scale is vertical. Mark screw positions (there are four mounting holes, two on top and two on bottom). We recommend predrilling screw holes if you are anchoring to a wall stud. if you do not find a wall stud, simply use the auger wall anchors provided. With a phillips screwdriver, screw anchors into place. With holes marked and anchors in place, use calibration/mounting device to balance scale on and screw to wall.


Calibration: Now use calibration/mounting device as calibration tool. Simply place the tool on the floor about 4 inches from wall (look for decal that indicates calibrate here). Slide the head board down the column until it rests lightly on the plastic tool, then press the + or - key until the display matches the number on the calibration tool (note this scale works in inches or centimeters via mode button). Lock display by pressing and holding the ON/OFF key and then quickly press the MODE key, release both at the same time.

You're ready to measure.
